Healthcare First!
Ther Ray Daw Pae (T-RAD) Clinic established in 2016 by Earth Mission Asia has been an advantage for local people and rural areas as well. It is not only for the local Karen people but also benefited other ethnic groups from the different regions who needed medical healthcare. One of our old patients U Myint Aye (50) from Phyu Township, Ye Le Western Burmese village has 6 family members including 4 children. He was diagnosed with a Cirrhosis of the liver, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), Hepatitis C infection.
U Myint Aye already started feeling something wrong in 2018. Firstly, he took a 14-day treatment at the T-RAD clinic, he went back home when he was better, and he took medicine for 4 months. Unfortunately, his disease became serious, and he received medical treatment in government hospitals and other private hospitals as well, but his situation was not getting better and became more serious. Sadly, the family was not able to bear the medical expenses, so they brought him to the T-RAD clinic because they already knew about this clinic and were wonderfully comfortable with the doctors and staff here.
U Myint’s wife told the T-RAD staff that he requested to stay at the T-RAD clinic until his last breath because he wanted to die peacefully. She also added, “I know that all of the staff never discriminated against my family and they treated our family with kindness, love, and patience.” She wished Ther Ray Dau Pae Clinic would become more and more impactful, successful, and beneficial for everyone.
Son of U Myint Aye donated 200,000 kyats for T-RAD clinic water expenses for 2021.
U Myint Aye passed away in January 2021.
